Task 5a - My ideas of Codes of Practice/Regulations at College

I have used the format of a spider diagram to brainstorm some ideas that I have for codes of practice and regulations for a college/teaching environment until I find out what the actual codes are! I focused on 3 main areas WELFARE, TRAINING, SAFETY ......

like to visualisation - you could even be more specific for your planning - and use this as an appendix - college are usually very good places for codes of practice as they are places of learning

About Me

Hi I'm Demi from Hereford, England and I am 21 years old.

I have always had a passion for dance since being taught at Hereford Academy of Dance where I gained my ISTD and RAD levels in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz and from there I was lucky enough to be accepted onto a 3 year Performing Arts course when I was 16 at Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts, London where I attained my Trinity Diploma at the age of 19.

During my final year we produced 'Grease' where I played 'Cha-Cha' and in the Ensemble experiencing my first time in a musical production. During my time at Italia Conti I was picked to be part of a selected group to perform as Can Can dancers at The Royal Albert Hall Classical Spectacular 2012 and as a Jingle Belle dancer in Jingle Bell Christmas 2012.

Since graduating in 2013 I have been a choreographer for JDG Production of Thoroughly Modern Musicals UK Tour and Dance Captain for Hereford Musical Theatre Company 42^nd Street. I was selected as a dancer for Andrew Waldron Choreography Showreel and Mert Degiremndereli Choreography Dance Youtube Videos. I was asked back to dance for Classical Spectacular in 2013/2014 and Jingle Bell Christmas UK Tour 2013 and Christmas Spectacular 2013 for The London Lites Company.

Other than performing I have also gained a Diploma Certificate in Swedish Body Massage and Hopi Ear Candling. Following my other passion for teaching I am teaching at Hereford Sixth Form College providing workshops and assistance in student shows. Teacher’s assistant for The Starlight Company Summer School and Kids Zumba. I have recently experienced Aerial Hoop and at present I am training for my first competition and wish to further my training to become an instructor.

I am now currently topping up my Level 6 Trinity Diploma to a BA (Hons) in Professional Practice in Arts at Middlesex University. By doing this course I wish to then continue onto a PGCE in Dance to continue my love for teaching and passing on my knowledge and experience to others.
